Campus Immersion Event at St. Claret Autonomous College, Bengaluru
On 2 March 2026, TERI hosted a Half-Day Campus Immersion Event at St. Claret College, Bengaluru, under the Youth Climate Innovators Challenge (YCIC). The programme brought together 74 students from 11 colleges across Karnataka, creating a dynamic platform to engage youth in climate dialogue, innovation, and leadership. The event aimed to introduce participants to structured pathways for climate action while highlighting emerging opportunities and career prospects in sustainability.
Designed as an interactive and participant-centered experience, Climate Confessions helped students examine their perspectives on climate issues, fostering critical thinking, empathy, and openness to diverse viewpoints. This activity set the tone for deeper engagement throughout the programme.
The session on Why Youth Climate Innovation Matters helped students connect climate change with real-world challenges and future career pathways. Using relatable examples, students explored how sustainability is increasingly shaping industries and professions, encouraging them to consider integrating climate action into their academic and professional journeys.
The Design Thinking Session helped students identify pressing environmental issues such as waste management, water scarcity, and pollution. Through guided stages of problem analysis, ideation, and solution development, participants created innovative, practical concepts and presented their ideas, strengthening collaboration and problem-solving skills.
The immersion event inspired and equipped students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to become active contributors to climate action and innovation.
